Analysts have increased their price forecasts for EUAs under the EU ETS for 2010 and beyond. They expect a tighter cap on emissions from 2012 and higher emissions from companies as they recover from recession (from Reuters news)
Nine emissions analysts polled by Reuters said they expect 2010 EUA prices to average 16 EUR this year, up from 15,40 EUR in last months poll. They also raised forecasts for subsequent years of the EU ETS.
