An informal trialogue does also not sound so informal anymore though, if half of the carbon community is talking about that. So what is BarCap’s aim to issue a hot air speculation paper about possible outcomes of an ‘informal’ meeting, that may set some guidance for the EU, but definetly not be the “make or break”?

Major analysts polled by Reuters slightly lowered their 2010 price forecasts for EUAs from 15.90 euros (09/2010 poll) to 15.70 euros.
Update (December 8th) Point Carbon analysts forgot to update the numbers two weeks ago and now changed their short-term price forecasts for EUAs.

Analysts have decreased their price forecasts for EUAs under the EU ETS for 2010, but they see prices rising in subsequent years due to regulation and an improving economy, Reuters reports. Nevertheless, Deutsche Bank expects significant higher prices by the end of 2010 (more details)

Analysts have increased their price forecasts for EUAs under the EU ETS for 2010 and beyond. They expect a tighter cap on emissions from 2012 and higher emissions from companies as they recover from recession (from Reuters news)
